Abstract

In this article there are described and exemplify two types of difficulties identified in the students of a course of Euclidean geometry of the first semester of the bachelor of Mathematics and Physics, in the University of the Amazonia. Such difficulties affect the possibility of building demonstrations. To determine the difficulties, there were analyzed so much the productions written as the interaction between the teachers in formation when they were trying to produce a demonstration. There were used the created, definite categories exemplified by the equipment of investigation Æ·G (Learning and Education of the Geometry) of the Pedagogic National University. The article concludes with a few suggestions that might help the students not to incur the problematic described matters.
